     The police blotter is updated as often as possible.  It primarily lists arrests that have been made.  It may also give you insight into the types of investigations we handle, and calls for service we receive.  Incidents listed in the blotter represent only a small percentage of the Moonachie Police Department's daily operations.

Home Owner Advisory - Please be aware of scams that involve people posing as
utility workers that are looking to gain access to your home. These type of diversion
scams lead to theft of property from inside the home. Please do not hesitate to call
the police about any suspicious person or vehicle in your neighborhood.  

 

INCIDENT/CHARGE: WARRANT ARREST

FEBRUARY 10, 2009: Roger Naranjo of Little Ferry, NJ was arrested by P.O. Bussanich. A motor vehicle stop on Industrial Avenue in Teterboro New Jersey led to the arrest of Mr. Naranjo. A warrant issued by the Clifton Municipal Court for the amount of $750.00 was in effect for Roger Naranjo. P.O. Bussanich processed the accused at headquarters and then turned him over to two officers from the Clifton, N.J. Police Department.
 

INCIDENT/CHARGE: SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY / WARRANT ARREST

FEBRUARY 10, 2009: Luis Perezbarocela of Wayne, N.J. was arrested by P.O. McNeice. While on patrol and checking the warehouses in the area of West Commercial Avenue, Officer McNeice noticed two vehicles parked in the parking lot of a business on West Commercial Avenue. The business was closed for the day. Sgt. Behrens and P.O. Pezzillo responded to assist P.O. McNeice. A check of Luis Perezbarocela revealed a civil contempt warrant issued out of the Hudson County Superior Court, and a suspended drivers license. Mr. Perezbarocela was processed and turned over to officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department. Motor vehicle summonses were issued to both drivers.

INCIDENT/CHARGE: WARRANT ARREST

FEBRUARY 21, 2009: Rufino Cruz-Espinal of Union City, N.J. was arrested by P.O. Mulvaney. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rt 46 in Teterboro, N.J. A check of the operator showed an active warrant from the Carlstadt Municipal Court. The bail amount was $655.00.Mr. Cruz-Espinal was processed at police headquarters and then turned over to officers from the Carlstadt police Department.
