arrests that have been made. It may also give you
insight into the types of investigations we handle, and
calls for service we receive. Incidents listed in the
blotter represent only a small percentage of the Moonachie
Police Department's daily operations. |

INCIDENT/CHARGE: THEFT
September 8, 2008:
David Stayback of Ridgefield Park, NJ was arrested by Det.
Fugnitti.Mr. Stayback was charged with theft. The incident took
place in Moonachie in July of this year. Mr. Stayback was
working for a carpet cleaning company, and stole items from a
residence in Moonachie. Det. McNeice worked the case in its
early stages and developed the accused as a suspect. Det.
Fugnitti picked up on the case, and worked with a detective from
the New Milford Police Department. A summons for theft was
issued to the accused.
INCIDENT/CHARGE:
WARRANT ARREST
September 10, 2008:
William Peterson of Moonachie, NJ was arrested by Det. Inserra.
The accused had several outstanding warrants, Mr. Peterson was a
New Jersey Wanted Person by the Ocean County Sheriff Department,
on a warrant for $21,411.84. Active warrants also were issued
from the Fort Lee Municipal Court $1,500.00 (for Port Authority
Police) and from Middletown Municipal Court $1,000.00. Mr.
Peterson was turned over to officers from the Port Authority
Police Department and transported to the Bergen County Jail.
Det. Fugnitti assisted.
INCIDENT/CHARGE: WARRANT ARREST
September 14, 2008:
Jason Ayers of Moonachie, NJ was arrested by Sgt. Dressel and
P.O. Napolitano. Officers from the South Hackensack Police
Department assisted. Mr. Ayers had been involved in an incident
in Moonachie, officers found outstanding warrants on Mr. Ayers
and responded to a motel in South Hackensack where he was
staying and placed him under arrest. Mr. Ayers was released to
officers from the Paramus Police Department.
INCIDENT/CHARGE: WARRANT ARREST
September 17, 2008:
John Nabitowicz of Moonachie, NJ was arrested by P.O. DeTrizio
for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. Mr. Nabitowicz
allegedly hit a neighbor with a piece of wood causing injury.
Two summonses were issued and he was released. P.O. McNeice and
P.O. Migliorino assisted.
INCIDENT/CHARGE: WARRANT ARREST
September 19, 2008:
Ljubomir Tarabokija of Moonachie, NJ turned himself at police
headquarters. Mr.Tarabokija had an outstanding traffic warrant
from the Oradell Municipal Court. Detective Inserra processed
and released Mr. Tarabokija on the bail amount of $165.00
INCIDENT/CHARGE: CONTEMPT / WARRANT ARREST
September 20, 2008: Hector Marquez of Monroe, NY was
arrested on a civil contempt warrant by P.O. McNeice. The
accused was discovered when Officer McNeice was assisting him on
Route 46 in Teterboro, a check of the accused showed that he was
a wanted person. The Hudson County Sheriff’s Department sent
officers to take custody of the accused.
INCIDENT/CHARGE: DWI ARREST
September 21, 2008:
Leonard Tucci of Moonachie was arrested for driving under the
influence of alcohol/drugs by P.O. McNeice. Mr. Tucci was also
charged with contempt for violating a court order. Bail was set
at $25,000.00 with a 10% option. Sgt. Behrens and P.O. Meller
assisted.
