The police blotter is updated as often as possible. It primarily lists arrests that have been made. It may also give you insight into the types of investigations we handle, and calls for service we receive. Incidents listed in the blotter represent only a small percentage of the Moonachie Police Department's daily operations.

INCIDENT/CHARGE: WARRANT ARREST

November 05, 2008: Samuel DeJesus Saravia of Milford Va., was arrested by P.O. Mulvaney after a motor vehicle stop. The operator did not posses a valid drivers license. Mr. Saravia was wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Bureau of Immigration and Customs. Mr. Saravia was processed at police headquarters and then transported to the Bergen County Jail by Det. Inserra and P.O. Bussanich.

INCIDENT/CHARGE: POSSESSION ILLEGAL PRESCRIP. DRUGS / WARRANT ARREST

November 07, 2008: Ubelly Cordoba of Union City, NJ was arrested by P.O. Ricardo. The accused was wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Rutherford Municipal Court. At headquarters it was discovered that Ms. Cordoba was in possession of a prescription legend drug that was not prescribed to her. Bail was posted at $165.00 and the accused was processed and released. P.O. Mcneice and P.O. Migliorino assisted.

INCIDENT/CHARGE: DWI ARREST

November 09, 2008: Wes Oldenburg of Plainfield, Il. Was arrested by Det. Inserra on suspicion of DWI. The accused was stopped for talking on his cellular telephone a motor vehicle violation. The accused was processed at police headquarters, issued four summonses and released to the custody of an acquaintance.

INCIDENT/CHARGE: USING FALSE I.D. TO PURCHASE ALCOHOL / ARREST

November 11, 2008: Darren Wilson of Trenton Ontario Canada was arrested by P.O. Migliorino for using a false identification in an attempt to purchase alcohol. Mr. Wilson was issued a summons at headquarters and released.

INCIDENT/CHARGE: WARRANT ARREST

November 19, 2008: Frank Molinari II of Moonachie, NJ, turned himself in at police headquarters on an outstanding warrant from the Ridgefield Park Municipal Court. Det. Inserra processed Mr. Molinari and he was released after posting $165.00 bail. Mr. Molinari was given a new court date in Ridgefield Park.

INCIDENT/CHARGE: POSSESSION OF CDS / MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

November 24, 2008: Mark Bonanno of Lodi, NJ was charged with possession of CDS by Sgt. Dressel. Mr. Bonanno was found lying face down in a ditch off of Moonachie Avenue. Mr. Bonanno was transported to the Hackensack Medical Center. At the hospital two bags of a white powdery substance were found in Mr. Bonanno’s possession. Officers responded to the Medical Center and met with the Hackensack Police. The drugs were turned over to the Moonachie Police, and charges were filed .
